Senior Engineering Manager (AI/Fintech)

Location: 100% remote from Australia, Singapore, or the Philippines; travel to the Philippines approximately once per quarter

What you will do

• Lead the engineering function for Cashalo, Tilt’s Philippines business, and act as an advisor to the Cashalo General Manager.
• Manage an established 11–12 person backend and mobile engineering team.
• Own ambiguous, multi-stakeholder business problems and drive them through to resolution.
• Run and interpret concurrent, interdependent experiments.
• Adapt proven engineering and product patterns from other Tilt markets to regional requirements.
• Travel to the Philippines approximately once per quarter.

Requirements

• Deep experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Product-first mindset and comfort improving technology that already works rather than rebuilding it.
• Ability to identify root causes, align stakeholders, and drive complex problems to solutions.
• Experience working in startup or scrappy environments.
• Active use of AI in daily workflows, including building and using agents.
• Ability to hold robust technical discussions with Staff+ Engineers.
