Engineering Manager (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Brisbane, Australia office

What you will do

• Lead and mentor the Australian software development team while driving Agile practices and accountability for outcomes.
• Balance people management with technical delivery, complex troubleshooting, and high-level support investigations.
• Oversee software and system architecture, system administration, network engineering, virtualization, database platforms, development infrastructure, and QA environments.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design principles and contribute to modular, scalable SaaS architecture with clear boundaries and low cross-team coupling.
• Maintain platform compliance and security programs, including ISMS, periodic security testing, redundancy testing, and disaster recovery testing.
• Provide strategic input and collaborate with product, sales, marketing, business analysts, Scrum Masters, and international teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience leading development teams in a SaaS environment.
• Experience with software development tools and processes, Agile delivery, team accountability, and milestone management.
• Demonstrated experience applying Domain-Driven Design to scalable SaaS architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting, creative problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of AWS, cloud computing, networking, and physical hardware.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus knowledge of information security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
