Applied AI Architect, Startups

Location: London, UK; hybrid policy requires staff to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time.

Annual compensation: £165,000–£190,000 GBP OTE, including base salary and target sales commissions or bonuses.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to understand startup requirements and translate them into technical solutions for Claude adoption.
• Guide founders and engineering teams through technical discovery, evaluation, deployment, and expansion.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and demonstrate Claude’s performance for specific startup use cases.
• Advise technical founders on AI architectures, build patterns, and production deployment approaches.
• Share emerging startup use cases and deployment insights with Product and Engineering teams.
• Travel to customer sites, startup events, and industry conferences for workshops and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
• Experience working with startups or high-growth technology companies.
• Software engineering or technical founder experience with strong credibility among technical builders.
• Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in production, including context engineering, evaluation frameworks, and modern AI architectures.
• Strong technical communication skills and experience selling technical products in competitive markets.
• Comfort with Python and common LLM frameworks, tools, and integration patterns.
