Application Engineer (AI)

Location: Rehovot, Israel; international travel of approximately 25%, primarily to East Asia.

What you will do

• Act as the primary customer interface through tool demonstrations and on-site tool activation.
• Optimize tool performance and address customer needs for metrology solutions.
• Plan and run tool experiments to validate solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D to align the tool roadmap with customer requirements.
• Develop software and algorithm prototypes using AI vibe-coding tools as development accelerators.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Engineering, including Electrical, Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Biotech, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong English communication skills.
• 0–1 years of experience; a semiconductor or complex-systems background is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-oriented mindset.
