Site Engineer Electrical Commissioning

Location: Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany; international on-site assignments lasting 2–12 months

What you will do

• Commission electrical components and systems, including transformers, high- and low-voltage systems, DC systems, protection systems, frequency converters, and excitation equipment.
• Perform initial and repeat testing of electrical protection and control systems.
• Commission electrical control systems and associated Human-Machine Interfaces.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues during commissioning to ensure reliable system operation.
• Collaborate with international project teams, customers, and engineering functions during on-site assignments.
• Share lessons learned with engineering teams to improve products and commissioning processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on power engineering, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
• Qualification as an electrically skilled person according to EN 50110.
• Experience commissioning high- or low-voltage systems, DC systems, electrical protection systems, frequency converters, or excitation equipment is advantageous.
• Confident use of MS Office and a valid German Class B driving license.
• High flexibility and willingness to undertake international on-site assignments typically lasting 2–12 months.
• Independent, quality-oriented working style with teamwork, adaptability, decision-making, and responsibility in an international environment.
