Senior Tax Platform Engineer (Corporate Technology) (Tax and Compliance platforms): Providing technical leadership for specialist tax and compliance platforms, integrations, and data flows across the enterprise technology estate with an accent on reliability, security, maintainability, and regulatory requirements. Focus on designing sustainable platform changes, resolving complex production issues, challenging vendors, and building internal engineering capability through documentation and knowledge sharing.
Location: London, United Kingdom; 50% hybrid working model, averaging two to three days onsite

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership for Tax and Compliance platforms and specialist enterprise applications.
- Design, implement, integrate and support secure, resilient and maintainable platform changes.
- Translate regulatory, operational and business requirements from Tax, Finance and Compliance specialists into technical solutions.
- Maintain integrations, APIs, data flows and dependencies across Finance and enterprise technology systems.
- Investigate complex incidents, improve monitoring and observability, and address technical debt and recurring reliability issues.
- Evaluate vendor solutions, mentor engineers and build sustainable internal ownership through documentation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Significant engineering experience with enterprise financial, tax, compliance, ERP or similarly complex business-critical platforms.
- Experience taking technical ownership of specialist enterprise applications in production.
- Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, data flows, system dependencies, reliability, monitoring, security and operational support.
- Experience translating complex business, regulatory or operational requirements into technical designs and resolving cross-system problems.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS products, third-party vendors, implementation partners or managed service providers.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with Tax and Compliance technology.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar enterprise Finance and ERP ecosystems.
- Experience in environments with significant regulatory, financial or compliance requirements.
