Field Service Engineer (Life Sciences)

Location: Remotely/centrally located in Columbus, Ohio, United States, with regional travel across North Central New York, Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Onsite customer visits and 25%–60% overnight travel are required.

Salary: $31.00–$36.00 per hour, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Service Beckman Coulter products at customer facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
• Use structured problem-solving methods to deliver first-time fixes and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Build customer relationships and support commercial initiatives.
• Travel throughout the assigned Great Lakes territory and occasionally support other regions.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, life science, or equivalent military experience.
• At least one year of experience solving problems, diagnosing issues, or troubleshooting instrumentation.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel to customer facilities within the assigned territory.
• Ability to travel overnight 25%–60% and occasionally lift, lower, and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory or field service experience.
• Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
