Digital Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid in Australia; may be based in Parramatta, Sydney, Melbourne, Wollongong, or Hobart

What you will do

• Facilitate workshops and refinement sessions, follow up on action items, and drive agreed outcomes.
• Define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for digital and mobile application delivery.
• Gather stakeholder and end-user insights, translate them into requirements, and maintain traceability through delivery.
• Work with technology, platform, development, testing, and business teams to identify downstream requirements and technical considerations.
• Develop requirements, solution options, recommendations, impact assessments, business cases, and process maps for current and target states.
• Plan and estimate analyst deliverables while managing risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and delivery support.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of business analysis experience.
• Strong experience gathering stakeholder requirements and translating them into detailed user stories.
• Strong understanding of digital and API development.
• Knowledge of project life cycles and Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with Jira, Claude, Copilot, and AI tooling.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.

Nice to have

• Experience with large, complex, multi-stream transition or large-scale transformation programs.
• Superannuation experience or domain knowledge in superannuation, investment, insurance, or unit trust operations.
• Degree, relevant qualifications, or equivalent experience in large organizations, programs, or portfolios.
