IT Business Analyst

What you will do

• Engage with Engineering and Program Management stakeholders to understand business problems, objectives, and expected outcomes.
• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Map current-state and future-state processes, identify gaps, and recommend process or system improvements.
• Translate requirements into user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Support solution design, testing, defect triage, project delivery, and user acceptance testing with IT teams, vendors, and business users.
• Assist with change impact assessments, training materials, adoption support, data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Typically 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, IT Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a related role.
• Strong experience with requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
• Working knowledge of enterprise applications, integrations, data flows, reporting, IT service management, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Office, Visio, Power BI, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, BPMN, UML, or similar tools and methods.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, collaboration, documentation, adaptability, and customer-focus skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Engineering, Program Management, manufacturing, automotive, or product development processes.
• Business analysis, Agile, ITIL, or project delivery certifications such as IIBA, CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMI-PBA, Scrum, or ITIL.
