Salary: $106,020–$153,729 per year, based on experience and internal equity considerations.

What you will do
- Direct clinical care for sick and injured laboratory mice.
- Participate as a veterinary member of the Animal Care and Use Committee, including protocol review and policy writing.
- Address employee and customer questions concerning mouse care, use, health, and welfare.
- Participate in research studies, including data analysis and reporting, with Comparative Medicine and Quality teams.
- Investigate unusual clinical cases and suspected infectious diseases with pathologists and biosecurity specialists.
- Provide bio-methods or surgical training and sign and negotiate health certificates.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree and a U.S. license to practice veterinary medicine are required.
- Qualifications to obtain veterinary licensure and USDA accreditation in the applicable state are required.
- At least two years of laboratory animal veterinarian experience.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, laws, and codes related to regulatory compliance.
- Strong organization, independent judgment, problem-solving, communication, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different disciplines and levels of expertise.
Nice to have
- Completion of a laboratory animal residency program.
- Board eligibility or certification in a relevant veterinary specialty, such as ACLAM.
