TL;DR
ODM Program Manager (Audio Devices) (Consumer Electronics/ODM): Managing the end-to-end development and delivery of Fairphone audio hardware with ODM partners with an accent on program execution, product validation, sustainability, modularity, and repairability. Focus on coordinating engineering teams and manufacturers, resolving technical risks, managing certification and ramp-up milestones, and supporting post-launch failure analysis and firmware updates.
Location: China; candidates must have the right to work in China

What you will do
- Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of audio hardware development programs with ODM partners.
- Manage ODM timelines, prototypes, testing, validation, product ramp-up, and readiness milestones.
- Coordinate daily technical and program communication between engineering teams and ODMs.
- Track risks, issues, performance data, and contingency plans while driving timely resolution.
- Ensure products meet quality, sustainability, modularity, and repairability objectives.
- Coordinate certification, pilot runs, field readiness, post-launch failure analysis, firmware updates, and customer-service escalations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in consumer electronics or the mobile industry, focused on ODM management.
- Proven experience managing hardware development programs, particularly audio devices or mobile accessories.
- Strong project and program management skills, including cross-functional coordination and overseas ODM collaboration.
- Deep understanding of product development lifecycles, DFM/DFT, testing, and validation processes.
- Native Mandarin and good English communication skills in writing and speaking are required.

- Experience with sustainable and modular hardware projects.
- Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, or other environmental compliance standards.
- Familiarity with Android audio architecture or embedded audio platforms.
