Director, People Science and Insights (Psychometrics)

Location: Durham, NC, USA

Salary: $179,760–$341,520 annually in the U.S.; ranges vary by California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, and Washington location.

What you will do

• Lead talent and organizational analytics supporting recruiting, learning, engagement, performance management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
• Oversee psychometric modeling, assessment validation, Item Response Theory, and Organizational Network Analysis using skills graphs.
• Design employee listening strategies, engagement surveys, and continuous listening systems.
• Conduct research and translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with the CHRO, Head of Talent, Head of Wellness, C-suite leaders, HR professionals, data scientists, and engineering teams.
• Manage and mentor a team of five analysts and psychometricians while guiding the team’s technical roadmap.

Requirements

• Must work in Durham, North Carolina, USA.
• 7+ years of experience executing advanced analytics, psychometric techniques, Organizational Network Analysis, and production model deployment in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Prior experience managing, mentoring, and developing analytics or technical personnel.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive stakeholder communication skills.
• Hands-on proficiency in R, Python, SPSS, SAS, and Cypher or graph analytics, plus knowledge of Azure ML, Vortex AI AutoML, or SageMaker.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Psychometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.

• Experience in professional services or fast-paced matrixed organizations.
• Background in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or Psychometrics.
