Manager, People Technology (Workday)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $138,000–$145,500 per year in New York; $124,000–$131,000 per year in Illinois

What you will do

• Own and evolve the architecture, configuration, performance, governance, and reliability of Workday.
• Translate business needs into scalable solutions using configuration, APIs, integrations, automation, and reusable platform patterns.
• Design AI-enabled employee experiences, including self-service, case deflection, knowledge retrieval, and workflow orchestration.
• Build and optimize integrations between Workday and payroll, benefits, and workforce systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
• Improve business processes and data flows with a focus on performance, scalability, compliance, simplicity, and data integrity.
• Support M&A integrations, system implementations, organizational scaling, and the development of a modern People Technology function.

Requirements

• Senior-level individual contributor with 5–8+ years of experience in HR Technology, People Systems, or related platform roles.
• Strong hands-on Workday experience across multiple modules.
• Experience with integrations, APIs, automation, or system design beyond basic configuration.
• Knowledge of Workday Extend, Prism, integration patterns, data flows, system architecture, business process design, data models, reporting, and analytics.
• Ability to independently own and deliver complex solutions end-to-end in a high-growth or transformation environment.
• Applicants must be able to work in a hybrid arrangement with 3 office days per week in New York.
