Metro Module Equipment Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; night shift.

Annual salary range: $44,230–$85,340 USD for the hourly role.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, reassemble, calibrate, and maintain equipment using technical documentation and drawings.
• Monitor equipment performance, review and classify inline defects, and support continuous improvement.
• Create failure reports, update specifications, and develop maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate supplier service and repairs and collaborate with Module Engineering on experiments, configuration changes, and data collection.
• Support factory ramps by installing or converting tools according to design specifications with engineering and construction teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus qualifying technical education, certification, apprenticeship, or related hands-on experience; relevant associate or bachelor's degrees in STEM fields may also qualify.
• Relevant backgrounds include equipment maintenance, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, electromechanical systems, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based manufacturing environment, including night shifts.
• This position is on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic drives, actuators, and microcontrollers used in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical blueprints.
• Experience with defect classification, equipment performance data analysis, installation, conversion, or factory ramp activities.
