Test Equipment Engineer Intern (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA; full-time onsite position

Salary: $22–$44 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain Advantest 93K and Teradyne Uflex testers, including boards, sockets, device kits, handlers, and probers.
• Provide tester, handler, prober, and hardware support to Test, Product Engineering, and Production teams.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair handler and prober systems with field service engineers and equipment vendors.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Track requests for new hardware, obtain replacement and spare-part quotes, and help improve equipment support processes.
• Contribute to improvements of the semiconductor test floor environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of hardware products, printed circuit boards, and electronic manufacturing.
• Ability to organize technical information, summarize data, and communicate clearly.
• Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking, team-oriented environment and learn across multiple disciplines.
• Eligibility to access export-controlled technology and software may be required; export license review may apply.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience in electronics, circuits, electromechanical systems, design, repair, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, networking, or inventory control systems.
• Previous semiconductor industry internship experience.
