Systems Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Pasadena, California, United States; full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027.

Pay rate: $28 USD per hour. A relocation stipend may be available.

What you will do

• Support the development, integration, and verification of robotic and motion-control systems for customer programs.
• Set up test hardware, operate robotic systems, and execute test procedures.
• Collect and analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and document results.
• Help prepare verification materials and customer deliverables.
• Work with mentors, supervisors, and cross-functional engineering teams while providing progress updates.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral program in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotic Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least 3 months of applied engineering experience through internships, laboratories, or personal/team projects.
• Ability to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks in Pasadena, California, beginning May or June 2027.
• For U.S. office work, eligibility under U.S. space technology export regulations is required, including qualifying U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• At least 6 months of applied engineering experience.
• Experience with robotics, motion control, electromechanical systems, or embedded systems.
• Experience with MATLAB, ROS 2, LabVIEW, or Python.
