RF Engineering Intern

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027

What you will do

• Support the RF Products Team with testing and productionization of transceivers and RF products.
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve practical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with mentors and department employees to develop technical and professional skills.
• Attend regular one-to-one meetings, provide progress updates, and participate in technical talks and professional events.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or mathematics, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.
• Have at least 3 months of applied engineering experience through internships, laboratory work, or personal and team projects.
• Be able to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027.
• For U.S. office work, meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• At least 6 months of applied engineering experience.
• Knowledge of radio-frequency and electronic components, including capacitors, inductors, and transformers.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, MATLAB, ANSYS, and Python.
