Avionics Associate Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Build and test flight hardware with the avionics engineering team.
• Design test equipment to validate designs across stressed operating conditions.
• Bring up and debug avionics designs in the laboratory.
• Write Python and/or C++ code to evaluate performance and automate satellite hardware testing.
• Assist with low-level software interfaces for spacecraft subsystems.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• Plans to pursue a graduate degree after the twelve-week Associate Engineer role.
• Interest in designing and working with spacecraft systems and subsystems.
• Hands-on experience personally designing, building, and testing hardware from scratch.
• Experience with Python and/or C++.
• U.S. Citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or qualifying protected individual status is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software.
• Experience with SPICE-based simulators such as LTSpice, PSPICE, or ADS.
• Soldering and hardware rework experience.
• Familiarity with EE lab equipment and switched-mode converter design.
