Test Engineer Intern (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Support the development and maintenance of automated test software and test systems.
• Execute engineering and production tests, collect data, and analyze results.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, test equipment, and automated test station issues.
• Assist with software verification and validation, hardware integration, and test station setup.
• Create and update technical documentation, work instructions, test procedures, and reports.
• Participate in root cause investigations and improvements to test yield, test time, reliability, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university and returning to school after the internship.
• Basic programming experience and understanding of electrical and electronic circuits.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Must qualify as a US Person to access information, technology, software, or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, or similar programming languages.
• Coursework in embedded systems, electronics, controls, software development, or test engineering.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, signal generators, data acquisition, or instrumentation.
• Knowledge of RS-232, RS-422, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, or similar communication interfaces.
• Interest or experience in aerospace, avionics, RF systems, manufacturing test systems, or safety-critical products.
