Revenue Accounting Project Manager (US)

Location: US - Remote. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US or Canada.

What you will do

• Shape the revenue accounting initiative roadmap by identifying process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Design and standardize revenue accounting processes and controls across multiple revenue streams.
• Scope, sequence, manage, and deliver cross-functional revenue accounting projects.
• Translate accounting treatment into system requirements and configuration logic for ERP and revenue recognition systems.
• Investigate data quality and process breakdowns in underlying datasets and partner with Data, Engineering, Finance, and Product teams on root-cause fixes.
• Create auditable process documentation, mapping logic, handoff materials, and data support for external audit and advisory partners.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience across accounting and project management, business or systems analysis, or accounting operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription or service-based revenue models.
• Demonstrated ability to independently scope, sequence, and deliver cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience designing or standardizing operational processes and controls.
• Strong data skills using Excel, SQL, or similar tools, plus clear written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Big 4 public accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP or revenue recognition implementations such as NetSuite, Rillet, or Zuora.
• CPA certification or equivalent.
• Experience in subscription, membership, consumer health, or technology businesses.
• Hands-on use of AI or automation tools in accounting or process-improvement workflows.
