What you will do

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for title insurance commitments and policies.
• Evaluate and approve commercial real estate title insurance transactions within delegated authority.
• Guide internal teams in delivering real estate settlement services.
• Develop and communicate underwriting standards and guidelines.
• Share underwriting and settlement-services expertise with agents, customers, and internal partners.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of title underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of real estate law, including federal and state regulations.
• Deep understanding of title insurance and settlement processes.
• Proven ability to underwrite real estate transactions for title insurance issuance.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, negotiation, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• For Underwriting Counsel: a law degree and admission and licensure to practice in the state of employment. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
