Associate Counsel - Boston, MA (Remote)

Location: Remote role associated with Boston, MA; attendance standards apply to the business location, and travel is required for trials, hearings, depositions, meetings, and conferences.

Annual salary: $118,900–$186,550.

What you will do

• Defend lawsuits against hirify.global insureds in Massachusetts courts and other first-party insurance defense matters.
• Represent hirify.global in subrogation, uninsured motorist, underinsured motorist, and personal injury protection lawsuits.
• Research applicable law and prepare legal briefs, opinions, memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Provide liability, damages, and case-value opinions to the Claims Department.
• Handle depositions, examinations under oath, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Meet deadlines for pleadings and correspondence while maintaining clear and professional case documentation.

Requirements

• Active license in good standing to practice law in applicable jurisdictions, including required continuing legal education.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Litigation experience; insurance defense or personal injury experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle primary responsibility for cases of moderate severity and complexity.
• Strong organization, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
