Senior Product Counsel (Real Estate Products)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 states, with limited exceptions.

Salary: $152,900–$244,300 or $160,900–$257,100 annually, depending on location.

What you will do

• Serve as primary legal point of contact for brokerage operations and licensed real estate activities.
• Provide full-lifecycle legal counsel for consumer and B2B products, including regulatory compliance, data licensing, product design, and commercial agreements.
• Support industry affairs, MLS escalations, emerging industry issues, and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze legal risks and provide recommendations for pilot programs, first-impression issues, and initiatives involving senior management.
• Partner with privacy, fair housing, finance, compliance, communications, marketing, government relations, and litigation teams.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and handle real estate licensing complaints and investigations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience at a national or regional law firm or in-house legal department.
• Substantial experience in real estate regulation and product counseling.
• JD and active admission to at least one state bar.
• Experience with real estate regulatory frameworks, MLS policies, data licensing, marketing, and commercial agreements.
• Excellent legal writing, communication, drafting, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.
