Commercial Legal Specialist, Technical AI Implementation (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York City; office attendance required at least 3 days a week

Annual salary: $170,000–$220,000 USD

What you will do

• Implement AI-powered solutions for contract review, redlining, and commercial contract diligence.
• Manage integrations between legal systems, contract management platforms, and AI tools.
• Develop self-service contracting solutions, including FAQ chatbots and guided workflows.
• Create program plans covering timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and delivery.
• Build metrics dashboards to track legal operations efficiency improvements.
• Establish AI governance processes and coordinate solution development with Engineering and Product.

Requirements

• Experience evaluating and implementing legal technology platforms, such as contract, workflow, or document management systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM tools, especially Claude, and genuine interest in AI/ML applications.
• Ability to translate legal business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with legal and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple technical projects independently.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or relevant experience.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, or technical roles supporting legal teams.
• Technical aptitude with system integration knowledge.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks and tools, machine learning, or data science.
• Project management experience and the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
