Home Renovation Professional (Retail)

Location: Columbus, Ohio; physical retail, in-store

Salary: $24.00 per hour plus uncapped bonus

What you will do

• Serve as the primary renovation resource for customers working on repair, remodeling, and home improvement projects.
• Plan projects from concept through completion by sequencing purchases, coordinating categories, and recommending complete solutions.
• Consult with customers about goals, budgets, timelines, installation needs, measurements, materials, compatibility, and long-term performance.
• Provide cross-category guidance across flooring, kitchen and bath, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, plumbing, hardware, storage, windows, doors, trim, wall treatments, outdoor living, and décor.
• Use digital assortment and endless-aisle tools to create project estimates, compare alternatives, source products, and coordinate purchases.
• Support merchandising, inventory, replenishment, carry-outs, curbside pickup, returns, and knowledge sharing with other associates.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail sales or a customer-facing role.
• At least 5 years of experience working with home improvement products across categories, preferably as a project consultant.
• Broad practical knowledge of renovation, construction, remodeling, contracting, or project management.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, sales, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Technical proficiency with mobile devices and POS systems.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; frequent standing and walking and lifting up to 50 pounds are required.
