Interior Design Consultant

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida, United States; physical retail in-store. The role includes travel for in-home consultations and requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $24.00–$25.50 per hour, plus sales commission.

What you will do

• Advise customers on interior design projects, luxury furnishings, purchases, and custom orders.
• Manage virtual, in-store, and in-home design appointments, including preparation, product curation, design deliverables, and follow-up.
• Create moodboards, space plans, and 2D/3D room views using design software and sales analytics.
• Provide expertise on fabrics, finishes, performance, texture, durability, styles, and market trends.
• Meet or exceed sales, customer satisfaction, and other performance targets while supporting store profitability.
• Participate in floor sets, replenishment, substitutions, product launches, and other store operations.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a physical retail store in West Palm Beach, Florida, and travel for in-home consultations.
• At least 2 years of sales experience, including experience with high-price-point products, preferably in a design-related environment.
• Professional portfolio and experience executing custom and COM orders.
• Interior, architectural, or graphic design experience with knowledge of spatial planning, fabric selection, styles, and trends.
• Strong organization, communication, self-motivation, relationship management, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; a state-issued driver's license and auto liability insurance may be required for personal-vehicle travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with CRM, POS, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college diploma.
