Design Specialist (Interior Design Sales)

Location: Pasadena, California, United States. Full-time, in-store role with weekend and holiday availability required, including in-home consultations and off-site meetings with trade clients as needed.

Salary: $22.00–$23.00 per hour, plus uncapped commission on shipped items and performance-based bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Deliver personalized design consultations and recommend furnishings, layouts, and styling solutions.
• Build relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local design community.
• Meet sales KPIs including revenue, conversion, and client retention targets.
• Manage the full client lifecycle using CRM tools and outreach strategies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and contribute to the store’s aesthetic.
• Conduct in-home consultations and attend off-site trade meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Design-savvy sales professional with a passion for modern interiors.
• Experience in retail sales, design consulting, or customer success preferred.
• Background in interior design, architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Strong client needs assessment, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design tools such as SketchUp or AutoCAD.
• Ability to lift more than 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
