Design Supervisor (Interior Design)

Location: Onsite at one of the listed stores in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, or Massachusetts: Leesburg, Potomac Mills, Manassas, Frederick, Capitol Heights, Midlothian, Hampton, Mooresville, Waltham, or Owings Mills.

What you will do

• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate a motivated design team.
• Support store customers with design services, appointments, product recommendations, and complete flooring solutions.
• Develop customer relationships through networking, referrals, and store-generated leads.
• Manage multiple customer projects from inquiry through installation with accurate follow-up and communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership and employees to achieve design, sales, and operational goals.
• Maintain the Design Center, visual standards, appointment calendar, and awareness of current design trends.

Requirements

• BA or AA in Interior Design, six years of interior design experience in lieu of education, or an equivalent combination totaling six years.
• Three to five years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong customer relationship-building, verbal, written, interpersonal, multitasking, and basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, and proficiency with Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProject, James Martin, and HousPro.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment, handle physical tasks involving up to 50 pounds of force, and travel by car when required.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience as a Senior Designer, in an ADM role, or higher.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of hard-surface flooring.
• Participation in professional organizations such as ASID or NKBA.
