Manager, Origin Logistics Operations

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite operations role with travel to container freight stations and transportation logistics service providers.

What you will do

• Manage a regional network of container consolidation facilities and first-leg transportation, overseeing operational performance.
• Run KPI review meetings with logistics service providers and provide internal and external operational guidance.
• Travel to logistics providers for performance reviews, sourcing, transitions, and crisis recovery.
• Lead the scoping and rollout of warehouse management and transportation management systems.
• Prepare operational performance reporting and documentation for cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Identify critical markets, address performance risks, and implement corrective actions and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of international supply chain and logistics experience, particularly in contract logistics and cargo transportation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, logistics service provider management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to lead discussions effectively.
• Entrepreneurial approach and strong logical thinking skills.
