Outlet Assistant Store Manager (Retail)

Location: Naperville, Illinois, United States; physical in-store retail position

Salary: $57,273–$63,636 per year

What you will do

• Assist the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused retail team and delivering high-quality in-store experiences.
• Lead, coach, recruit, hire, and retain Sales Associates while building an internal and external talent pipeline.
• Build balanced schedules, manage floor coverage, and oversee opening and closing routines.
• Manage stockroom organization, replenishment, inventory levels, merchandise presentation, and store upkeep.
• Use sales analytics, operational judgment, and resource allocation to support store profitability and growth.
• Promote accountability, ethical conduct, security, compliance, inclusion, and continuous feedback.

Requirements

• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, active listening, sales, and customer service skills.
• Ability to motivate, influence, and inspire others in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to operate and learn point-of-sale and other store software systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work varied retail shifts at the Naperville store, including weekends and periods before or after store hours.

Nice to have

• Brick-and-mortar retail experience in furniture or home goods.
• Experience with Google Cloud G Suite, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.
