Mechanic I (Warehouse Maintenance)

Location: Aberdeen, Maryland, United States; onsite warehouse role

Salary: $20.50–$22.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose conveyor systems, sorters, unloaders, dock equipment, and warehouse facility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on powered industrial vehicles, electrical panels, conveyors, and other assigned assets.
• Complete general building maintenance, including basic carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, and cleaning.
• Operate aerial platform lifts, boom lifts, powered industrial trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet equipment.
• Respond to emergency repairs and coordinate vendors when needed.
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, logs, and CMMS documentation while following OSHA, state, and local requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or relevant certification.
• Experience with basic carpentry, painting, drywall, cleaning, and general maintenance.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, electrical testing equipment, PLC systems, computers, and CMMS software.
• Ability to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment with low lighting and to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders and gangways, and perform bending, crawling, stretching, and reaching.
• Ability to follow PPE, arc-flash protection, safety shoe, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
