Facilities Maintenance Technician I 2nd Shift (Contract)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite second-shift work

Pay rate: $27–$32 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair work according to quality and safety standards.
• Install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
• Complete facility projects such as painting, drywall, fixture installation, office moves, workstation reconfigurations, and material handling.
• Use the work order system to record maintenance activities promptly.
• Coordinate with contractors on projects and complex repairs.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Requirements

• General understanding of electrical, plumbing, painting, and heating/air-conditioning systems.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used in building construction and maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, information retrieval, and record-keeping.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and manuals.
• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
• Current valid California Class C driver’s license, dependable transportation, and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with building management systems software for creating, performing, and maintaining work orders.
