Interior Design Advisor (Luxury Retail)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; physical retail in-store role with virtual, in-home, and in-store appointments

Salary: $25.50–$27.50 per hour, plus quarterly sales bonuses and uncapped commission opportunities.

What you will do

• Deliver a high-end guest experience and maintain luxury retail service standards.
• Manage a portfolio of trade and consumer clients, including prospecting and long-term relationship development.
• Support large-scale luxury projects, trade projects, custom product development, and furnishing purchases.
• Conduct virtual, in-home, and in-store design appointments, including product curation, design deliverables, and follow-up.
• Use materials expertise, design software, sales analytics, moodboards, space plans, and 2D/3D room views to support customers and store profitability.
• Meet sales, customer satisfaction, and other KPI targets while supporting store operations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of design experience in a design firm or high-end furniture retailer.
• Professional portfolio and experience managing large-scale projects for luxury B2C and trade customers.
• Strong organization, communication, self-motivation, relationship management, and sales skills.
• Ability to learn design software; experience with CRM, POS, or design tools such as Salesforce, DesignFiles, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college diploma in Art, Architecture, or Interior Design is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for in-home design visits; availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Perigold supplier brands, materials, construction, and custom programs.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications.
