Designer (Interior Design)

Location: Onsite at one of the listed hirify.global stores in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, or Massachusetts: Albany, Staten Island, Syracuse, West Hartford, Fairfield, Mount Vernon, Paramus, Waltham, Garden City, or Saugus.

What you will do

• Provide start-to-finish consultative design services for residential and commercial customers.
• Welcome customers, understand project requirements, and develop design concepts aligned with personal style, lifestyle, and budget.
• Advise homeowners, interior designers, and builders on tile, wood, stone, and accessories.
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing flooring solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects from inquiry through installation with accurate communication and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership and employees to coordinate projects and support sales goals.

Requirements

• At least one year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use Salesforce, the Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProject, and other company communication tools.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with moving vehicles.

Nice to have

• Degree in design.
• Knowledge of hard-surface flooring.
• Experience as an internal design consultant for at least 12 months.
