Full Time Operations/Visual Specialist (Retail)

Location: Sarasota, Florida, United States — physical retail, in-store

Salary: $21.50–$23.00 per hour; base pay for this position is $21.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide friendly, customer-focused service and guide shoppers through in-store and online product options.
• Manage stock levels, receive and process merchandise, organize storage, and replenish the sales floor.
• Support store opening and closing, including keyholder responsibilities and workload coordination.
• Coach and support associates while helping leaders train staff on products, selling, customer service, operations, and visual merchandising.
• Maintain visual standards through floorsets, window changes, signage, lighting installations, wallpapering, and furniture assembly.
• Use sales analytics and operational improvements to support store profitability and growth.

Requirements

• 2+ years of retail experience; home, furnishing, interior design, furniture, or home goods experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and execute sales floor layouts or basic planograms.
• Strong customer service, organization, communication, self-motivation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to handle customer escalations and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Able to speak, read, and comprehend English for workplace safety.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, use a ladder, handle tools, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Basic electrical wiring experience.
• Visual merchandising experience, including lighting installation, wallpapering, and furniture assembly.
