Design Consultant (Interior Design)

Location: Onsite retail position in Sarasota, Florida

Salary: $21.50–$23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide friendly, customer-focused service and guide customers through home furnishing purchases.
• Manage virtual and in-store design appointments, including preparation, product curation, deliverables, and follow-up.
• Create moodboards, space plans, and 2D/3D room views using design software and sales analytics.
• Advise customers on fabrics, finishes, performance, texture, durability, styles, and market trends.
• Meet sales, customer satisfaction, and other store KPI targets.
• Support retail operations, including product placement, floor sets, replenishment, and substitutions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of sales experience, including experience with high-price-point products.
• Experience in interior, architectural, graphic, or another design discipline with knowledge of design principles.
• Strong organization, communication, self-motivation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team sales environment and adapt to a fast-changing workplace.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college diploma preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
• Experience selling design-related or high-price-point products.
