Assistant Studio Manager (Interior Design)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; onsite studio role with weekend and holiday availability required, plus travel for in-home client consultations and visits to local trade professionals.

Salary: $45,000–$56,250 per year, with possible commission, bonus, geographic premium, incentive, and equity awards.

What you will do

• Provide leadership support in the General Manager's absence and partner on store sales goals.
• Manage the full client lifecycle, build client relationships, and exceed sales targets using company programs and tools.
• Coach and train sales staff, directly manage Sales Assistants and Studio Interns, and support talent acquisition.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations, including work with 3-D rendering programs.
• Maintain store design and visual standards through merchandising guidelines.
• Conduct in-home client consultations and visit local trade professionals.

Requirements

• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and trust with direct reports, peers, and studio clientele.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.
• Ability to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds and follow safety requirements.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.
