What you will do

  • Design electro-mechanical solutions for avionics packaging, electrical interconnects, thermal management, and aircraft integration.
  • Perform structural, preliminary thermal, modal, finite element, and fatigue or lifecycle analyses.
  • Ensure avionics meet performance, safety, environmental, EMI, and EMC requirements.
  • Apply aerospace standards including DO-160, DO-254, DO-178C, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Own designs from concept and design reviews through system validation, failure analysis, and flight test readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience designing mechanical and electrical equipment for aerospace applications, including harness integration and mechanical components.
  • Expertise with CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar for 3D modeling, drawings, and system layouts.
  • Familiarity with eCAD tools such as Altium, Cadence, or Allegro, and harness design tools such as Capital or Zuken.
  • Experience defining PCB constraints, developing circuit cards, managing mechanical interfaces, and working with electrical engineers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile aircraft development environment with evolving priorities.
