Electrical Engineer I

What you will do

• Own flight-critical avionics, circuit, and subsystem designs for the V-BAT aircraft and support equipment.
• Develop electronics architectures using power management, analog and digital circuitry, servos, microcontrollers, sensors, and radios.
• Manage the full hardware development cycle from concept, modeling, analysis, schematic capture, simulation, and prototyping through testing and validation.
• Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing for power density, EMI, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
• Harden designs for shock, vibration, radiation, high altitude, safety, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.
• Lead design reviews, coordinate cross-functional execution, mentor engineers, and manage technical milestones and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of industry experience as an electrical engineer.
• Strong technical fundamentals in electrical engineering.
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging.
• Ability to collaborate across mechanical, CAD, embedded, software, supply chain, test automation, production, and aircraft teams.
• Demonstrated initiative, reliability, high standards, teamwork, and willingness to improve hardware development and aircraft reliability.
