Electrical Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: 100% onsite at hirify.global’s headquarters in El Segundo, California, United States. The position involves access to technology subject to U.S. export controls.

Salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year, plus equity.

hirify.global is a startup developing mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases.

What you will do

• Assist with the design, modeling, and analysis of electrical systems and components.
• Support hardware and instrumentation testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and nuclear engineering teams to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Prepare documentation, schematics, and technical reports.
• Participate in laboratory and prototyping work.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Graduation in December 2026 or spring 2027.
• Foundational knowledge of circuit design, power systems, or control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, California.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, SPICE, or CAD software.
