EHS System Lead

Salary: $96,500–$183,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead the deployment, governance, maturity, and continuous improvement of the North Chicago Manufacturing EHS Management System.
• Coordinate EHS Program Leads across departments and establish clear ownership, accountability, and communities of practice.
• Coach managers, supervisors, functional leaders, and program owners on applying EHS standards in operational processes.
• Develop maturity roadmaps, project plans, milestones, performance indicators, and corrective actions.
• Partner with operational leaders to embed EHS requirements into daily management and business decision-making.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, management reviews, and post-audit improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience implementing EHS regulations, conducting incident investigations, working with regulatory agencies, and managing cross-functional teams.
• Ability to establish measurable project goals, implementation plans, action plans, and resource requirements.
• Ability to develop standards and policies aligned with business objectives.
• Strong listening, relationship-building, conflict-resolution, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage projects and programs while balancing competing priorities.

Nice to have

• EHS or Engineering professional certification.
