EHS Auditor (Manufacturing)

Location: Northbrook, Illinois, United States; travel to CF manufacturing sites and terminals up to 50% of the time

Salary: $84,500–$111,500 base pay annually, plus an incentive program and benefits for full-time employees.

What you will do

• Participate in compliance and management system audits across CF locations.
• Schedule, manage, conduct, and lead location audits after completing the required training and demonstrating competency.
• Set audit protocols, lead audit meetings, and coordinate internal and third-party auditors.
• Use the Corporate EMIS system to set up audits, record findings, and generate reports.
• Maintain knowledge of CF industrial requirements, internal standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support EHS councils, corporate reporting, and safety continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in an EHS-related field, such as engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of EHS compliance-related experience.
• Basic auditing skills or the ability to develop them through internal and external training.
• Experience with EHS compliance programs, applicable laws and regulations, and industrial operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and general IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with EHSQ database systems and using data analytics to support problem-solving.
