Senior Manager, Patient Advocacy (Biotech): Building trusted partnerships and compliant patient advocacy programs that improve disease education, clinical trial awareness, access, and patient outcomes with an accent on patient insights, advisory boards, and cross-functional strategy. Focus on designing advocacy campaigns, translating patient perspectives into clinical and commercialization decisions, and managing stakeholder engagement, budgets, and governance.
Location: Sleepy Hollow, New York; onsite four days per week. Travel approximately 25–50% for patient engagements, conferences, and advocacy meetings; some evenings and weekends may be required.
Salary: $134,400–$219,200 annually.

What you will do
- Lead therapeutically aligned patient advocacy strategies, operating plans, educational programs, and disease-awareness campaigns.
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, professional societies, and coalition partners.
- Design and coordinate patient advisory boards, listening sessions, patient storytelling, and other insight-generation activities.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial, Policy, Government Affairs, and Legal/Compliance.
- Represent the organization at advocacy meetings, conferences, congresses, and coalition activities.
- Track engagement metrics, manage budgets, review grants, and report outcomes to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in public health, communications, or health policy is a plus.
- At least 8 years of experience in industry, patient advocacy, community engagement, biopharma, biotech, or patient organizations.
- Experience building high-trust stakeholder partnerships and translating insights into action.
- Strong project management skills for multi-stakeholder programs and events delivered on time and within budget.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Working knowledge of clinical development, real-world evidence, market access, and compliance requirements for patient interactions.
Nice to have
- Experience in rare diseases, oncology, hematology, or cardiometabolic areas.
- Advanced degree such as an MPH, MS, or MA in communications or health policy.
