Sourcing Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $115,000–$155,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Own sourcing, procurement, and supplier execution for assigned parts, suppliers, commodities, and projects from requirements through delivery.
• Manage supplier performance, capacity, cost, contractual matters, purchase orders, and commercial communication.
• Lead RFQs and supplier evaluations covering cost, lead time, technical capability, capacity, quality, compliance, and business risk.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, minimum-order quantities, tooling arrangements, and other commercial conditions.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, planning, quality, finance, and program teams to support spacecraft development and production schedules.
• Drive cost reduction, alternate sourcing, supplier recovery, data accuracy, process improvements, and guidance for junior sourcing team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, supplier management, or a related function.
• Independent experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, RFQs, procurement activities, proposal evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, procurement, or inventory-management systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional work with engineering, quality, manufacturing, planning, finance, and program teams.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain a U.S. export license under ITAR, EAR, and applicable U.S. regulations.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier-management experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Experience sourcing machined components, raw materials, PCB/PCBA, composites, propulsion hardware, electrical components, or commercial off-the-shelf hardware.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical drawings, bills of material, engineering change control, supplier audits, corrective actions, and alternate sourcing.
• Experience with cost models, should-cost analysis, total-cost-of-ownership analysis, AS9100, ITAR, EAR, Excel, SQL, or Power BI.
