Avionics Integration Technician (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Integrate avionics hardware, wire harnesses, electrical subsystems, and electromechanical assemblies into vehicle and test configurations.
• Perform continuity verification, electrical troubleshooting, functional testing, HiPot testing, insulation resistance testing, and electrical acceptance testing.
• Install, route, secure, and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering requirements and workmanship standards.
• Execute integration and manufacturing processes using work instructions, schematics, assembly drawings, and controlled documentation.
• Support development builds, prototype integration, environmental testing, and transition into initial production.
• Identify integration and test issues, maintain an ESD-compliant work environment, and support process improvements and production priorities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as an avionics technician, integration technician, aerospace manufacturing technician, or in a related field.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.
• Experience with avionics hardware integration, harness routing, and electrical assembly.
• Familiarity with IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards.
• Ability to follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and controlled documentation with strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
• Experience working in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment and a fast-paced development and production setting.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience integrating flight hardware, prototype hardware, or test systems and troubleshooting at subsystem or vehicle level.
• Familiarity with configuration-controlled manufacturing documentation, environmental testing, and rapid development builds.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence, plus basic electronic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability to changing priorities and evolving hardware designs.
