Associate Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Base salary: 73,100–105,380 CAD annually, plus annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop cloud-hosted data ingestion, transformation, and normalization pipelines.
• Build extensible frameworks for low-code/no-code integrations and new asset sources.
• Create reusable software components with global, cross-functional engineering teams.
• Apply AI-assisted and agentic approaches across design, development, quality assurance, deployment, observability, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to scalable software architecture, design reviews, roadmap planning, documentation, and product collateral.
• Improve integration extensibility, productivity, quality, and system reliability.

Requirements

• Experience developing software with modern programming languages and engineering practices.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architectures, containerized deployments, and event-driven or asynchronous processing.
• Experience with cloud-hosted software, SaaS products, data ingestion and transformation workflows, asset management systems, or data-intensive applications.
• Working knowledge of data modeling, APIs, system architecture, software design, and relational, time-series, NoSQL, or graph databases.
• Experience improving performance, troubleshooting production issues, or increasing software reliability.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Hands-on experience applying AI or agentic engineering approaches.
• Networking knowledge covering switching, routing, security, DNS, DHCP, or IPAM.
