Senior Software Engineer, Agent Gateway (AI)

Salary: CAD 136,000–187,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Build and ship Agent Gateway features across data and control planes, including virtual MCP server aggregation, token exchange, and policy evaluation.
• Develop runtime-path services for credentials, tokens, tenant isolation, and audit logging.
• Implement MCP, OAuth token exchange, and agent identity specifications as they evolve.
• Use Claude, Claude Code, and MCP-connected agents in design, development, code review, and operations.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, service rollouts, incident response, observability, and design documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production backend systems, ideally distributed and highly available.
• Production software development experience with Java and/or Go.
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC, with the ability to implement specification-driven code.
• Hands-on experience with service rollouts, feature flags, observability, and incident response.
• Familiarity with agentic development tools such as Claude Code, MCP servers, and AI-assisted code review.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate across data-plane and identity control-plane services.

Nice to have

• Experience building or integrating MCP servers, agent frameworks, or LLM-facing gateways.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, identity, authorization, or edge-of-network services.
• Participation in agent identity standards work such as MCP, OAuth, GNAP, or DCR.
• Full-stack or frontend experience for administration and configuration surfaces.
• Familiarity with RFC 8693 token exchange.
