Staff Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Warren, Michigan, United States; three days in the office and two days remote. Must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do

• Collaborate with systems architects, development leaders, business stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and programmers.
• Design and deliver multilayered business, application, data, and infrastructure architectures.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements within time, cost, performance, interface, and security constraints.
• Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
• Develop or direct software testing, validation, programming, and documentation procedures.
• Supervise and assign work to programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, and other engineering personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Five years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related role.
• Five years of experience delivering Java and JEE business solutions and working across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle, object-oriented analysis and design, Hibernate, REST and SOAP web services, and WebLogic.
• Experience with Agile development, including TDD, JUnit, mocks, and pair programming.
• Experience with microservices, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Spark, Kubernetes, Akka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, Redis, Bitbucket, Maven, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, and Adobe CQ.
