Intern - Software Development Engineer

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; hybrid work with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Support engineering teams in developing and improving web, mobile, API, and data-driven applications.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, team meetings, and Agile product development activities.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and improvements to DevOps tooling, including pipelines and static scanning.
• Support production reliability through scale, uptime monitoring, and rapid issue triage and resolution.
• Complete an internship capstone presentation covering achievements and contributions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics, with at least one semester remaining at the start of the internship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Junior or senior academic classification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or within a team.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly, evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias, and understand data protection considerations.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation and prompting techniques.
• Awareness of emerging generative AI capabilities and limitations.
