Senior Mission Planning and Motion Control Software Engineer (ADAS)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and implement ADAS lateral control software for Super Cruise and other active safety features.
• Develop algorithms and real-time software for Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Super Cruise, and front and rear impact mitigation.
• Build CI/CD pipelines that continuously validate feature-control performance after software changes.
• Verify and validate software through unit testing, SIL/HIL simulation, and extensive in-vehicle performance testing.
• Support production calibration, software change management, test vehicle fleet management, and resolution of field and customer issues.
• Collaborate across ADAS application teams and contribute to software architecture, product strategy, patents, and publications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience developing control systems and/or motion planners.
• Advanced knowledge of robust, adaptive, nonlinear, and model-predictive control systems.
• Experience with online learning algorithms such as Kalman Filters and Recursive Least-Squares, vehicle dynamics, numerical methods, and automotive simulation.
• Experience with Simulink, Python, embedded C/C++, SIL/HIL validation, and software design.
• Valid driver’s license required. Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and independent learning skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Functional safety and ISO 26262 experience.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet automotive communication protocols.
• Experience with embedded ADAS controllers and automotive hardware.
• Familiarity with CarSim or CarMaker.
• Team leadership and Agile/Scrum experience.
